Most dogs of this breed can be trusted with well-behaved kids, especially when they have been regularly exposed to children since the early age. A child should be taught to respect the dog and never play rough. A large and excitable dog may easily knock a small child over, if it jumps up to lick the child’s face. Never leave a baby and a dog together unattended, because just as a dog can hurt a child, so can a child pull the dog’s tail or hurt it in any other way.
